Who we are

Troop 214 is a trailblazing unit in the world of Scouting, proudly serving both girls and boys in one united troop. Established nearly 60 years ago in 1966, we began by serving boys in the rural areas of Raleigh. In 2019 we made history as the first troop in the Occoneechee Council to charter a girls' troop, meeting the growing needs of youth in the North Raleigh area.

Today we offer youth the opportunity to grow together, develop lifelong skills, and make ethical, moral choices guided by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law.

Our youth-led troop thrives by empowering Scouts to take charge of their own journey. They plan and lead weekly meetings, monthly campouts, and community service projects – all while embracing the core values of Scouting. Our program focuses on the Patrol Method, outdoor adventure, skills development, leadership personal growth, and meaningful connections with adult mentors.

Troop 214 Scouts embark on a wide range of outdoor adventures, including week-long summer camp, whitewater rafting, backpacking, orienteering, snow sports, water sports, canoeing, caving, and much more.

We meet every Monday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, except on WCPSS holidays, at Benson Memorial United Methodist Church, 4706 Creedmoor Road (a couple of blocks north of Crabtree Valley Mall).

Join us and become part of a community that builds character, leadership, and a lifetime of memories!
